The award means the club will represent Waipa District at the national community awards in Wellington in March 2015.
The club becomes only the second sports club to win the Supreme Award in Waipa, and receives $1,500 in prize money.
In giving the award to Cambridge, the judges cited the commitment and enthusiasm of club volunteers who had helped grow the club into one of the region’s largest, while hosting major matches for Waikato/Bay of Plenty Football.
The club’s juniors won the sports section of the community awards three years ago so the club is delighted to have added the Supreme Award to its trophy collection.
