The club picked up this year’s title as more than 200 sportspeople attended the Sport Waikato awards dinner at the Te Awamutu Sport & Events Centre.
Cambridge won the same title a year ago and becomes only the second club to take the award in successive years.
The judges of the award said Cambridge had a stellar year on and off the pitch.
The club’s men’s and youth teams had both won Waikato/Bay of Plenty championships while the club had grown its membership by 14% to more than 720 this year.
The club had been awarded NZ Football’s Quality Club Mark and had built new $200,000 changing rooms to significantly improve their facilities.
Cambridge will now be nominated by Waipa for the Waikato Sports Club of the Year to be held in January.
