Samba Style Soccer is coming to Cambridge

Samba Style Soccer is coming to Cambridge

Cambridge FC have launched a Futsal programme for young players, led by Samba Style Soccer coach Dylan Groom.

The Samba Style Soccer programme will cater for players in 8th – 13th grades.

Futsal is played on a court, in a gym, with a smaller, heavier ball. Futsal develops fast foot skills, football technique, ball control, football vision and awareness.

Ronaldinho, Neymar, Oscar and Coutinho along with many other famous Brazilian football players, all grew up playing futsal.

Former Cambridge player and All White Chris Wood, Marco Rojas, Monty Patterson, Adam Thomas and Michael Built are just some of the talented New Zealand football players that attended Samba Style Soccer.

For more information about the programme, visit www.sambastylesoccer.co.nz.

Futsal will run throughout 2018 on Wednesdays at the Horton Gym at St Peter’s, Cambridge.
