Referee courses coming up in May

posted in: Men, News, Volunteers, Women, Youth

Two courses will be held during May for those who want to qualify for their Community Referee badges.

WaiBOP Football is holding courses on May 1 and May 17, providing the opportunity to earn a first-step refereeing qualification in a single three-hour session.

Community Referees

(formerly known as Club-Based Referees)

This involves a short course and provides the trainee with the chance to referee club games involving teams from his/her club. Cambridge FC has a roster of CRs who control Waikato competition games for our senior teams when fully-qualified referees are not allocated fixtures.

WaiBOP Football have announced the following courses to be held in Hamilton:

  • Tuesday, 1 May. Hillcrest High School, 6:30-9:30pm.
  • Thursday, 17 May. Hillcrest High School, 6:30-9:30pm.

If you want more information about becoming a CR, please contact our club referee co-ordinator, Des Beeney. Ring/text him on 027 2416164 or email Des Beeney.
