Here’s how our senior teams performed last weekend.

Lotto NRFL second division

Our men’s first team shared the points in an entertaining 1-1 draw against Claudelands Rovers at Galloway Park.

The Reds reserves won their fifth game in a row, beating Claudelands Rovers 4-2 to stay top of the reserves competition.

Loaded WaiBOP Championship

Cambridge lost 2-1 to Te Puke United in the Loaded WaiBOP Championship at John Kerkhof Park.

Trailing 2-0 at the break, the home side put in a solid effort during the second half and Cambridge’s goal came from Miguel Peterle in the 73rd minute.

Waikato A

The A team are making a habit of winning high-scoring games by the slimmest of margins.

This weekend, they beat Ngaruawahia United 3-2 at Centennial Park, a week after beating Claudelands Rovers 5-4.

Scorers for Cambridge were Peter Buesnel (2) and Diego Eguren.

Waikato D

The D1s were due to host Tokoroa at John Kerkhof Park but the visitors were unable to field a full team and defaulted. The match counts as a 3-0 win to Cambridge.

The Cambridge D2 team lost 6-4 at home to Te Aroha Cobras after trailing 3-1 at the interval. Scorers for Cambridge were Rob Dickson (2) and Andrew Myers (2).

Waikato Women’s A

Our women’s team backed up last weekend’s 6-1 win at Hamilton Wanderers with another three points in the Waikato A division when they beat Northern United 5-3 at Discovery Park.

Youth League

Cambridge U-13 boys played at home against Northern United in the WaiBOP Federation Youth League. Result not yet available.

The boys U-12 side drew 1-1 at Papamoa in the WaiBOP Federation U-12 Boys’ League.
