Sunday: Waikato Women’s A-League

The Cambridge women wrap up their league schedule with a match against Matamata Swifts kicking off at Matamata Domain at 11am on Sunday.

The team has already clinched second spot in the competition, as well as being runners-up in the Waikato Women’s Cup, but will be looking to finish with a win as a tribute to veteran goalkeeper Jen Hull.

Hull joined Cambridge seven seasons ago, from Matamata, and has since played more than 120 times for the club, appearing in four cup finals and captaining the side for the past two seasons.

Hull – known to all and sundry as ‘Stoney’ – has decided to call an end to her football career this season.
