Cambridge FC seeks junior and youth players interested in playing for the club’s 2019 Federation League teams.
The club plans to enter four teams, all coached by the Ricki Herbert Football Academy. Teams will cover the following age groups:
- Boys U-12 (born 2007)
- Boys U-13 (born 2006)
- Boys U-14 (born 2005)
- Girls U-14 (born 2005 to 2007)
The federation leagues are Waikato/Bay of Plenty-wide competitions established to provide a consistently high level of football for the top players in each age group.
The leagues operate differently from Waikato-only football with games played on Sundays. The federation league season starts in April and finishes in August/September.
To help players prepare for this standard of football, and to establish a selection process, the Ricki Herbert Football Academy will provide a series of six coaching sessions during February. The cost per player is $40 but this covers all sessions.

Venue: John Kerkhof Park, Vogel Street, Cambridge
Dates: Sessions will be held from 5pm to 6pm on:

About the Federation Youth Leagues
This higher standard of football requires a high level of commitment with training twice a week (each session 5pm to 6.30pm), wider travel on game days (within Waikato/BOP) and a higher level of cost.
In addition to the club’s standard subscription fee, a coaching fee is payable each term.
The estimated cost per player for the 2019 season is expected to be about $700 per player and will be established when full details of the competitions are finalised.
