Coach Richardson: “We were within two seconds of getting a win.”

Cambridge head coach Paul Richardson said it hurt to miss out on a win against local rivals Claudelands Rovers after the teams drew 1-1 in their Lotto NRFL second division match at John Kerkhof Park.

The Reds led 1-0 until conceding a penalty six minutes into added time.

Referee Sarah Jones blew for full-time immediately after Rovers skipper Bailey Webster scored from the spot.

Richardson said his team went within two seconds of taking nine points from their opening three games in the Northern League.
