Cambridge’s top three men’s teams all play at home this Saturday, providing plenty of opportunities for local supporters.
Our youth teams and juniors take a break for the school holidays.
Here’s where our senior teams are playing this weekend:
Lotto NRFL second division
The Reds will play a double header at John Kerkhof Park against old rivals Ngongotaha.
Ngongotaha are struggling at the foot of both the second division table and the reserves table. But the boys from Rotorua always seem to lift their game when they play Cambridge.
Provisional squad for Cambridge: 1 Fraser Nicholls, 2 Levi Clark, 3 Nathan Claridge (c), 4 Patrick Woodlock, 7 Kieran Hill, 8 Daniel Clarkin, 9 Zach Mayo, 10 Dylan Blair, 12 Marcelo Sosa, 13 Fabian Munoz, 14 Luke Stephenson, 16 Kyle Stead, 17 Aaron Huesser, 18 Harry Wick, 20 Kieran Vollebregt, 22 James Chambers.
The main game is at 3pm while the clubs’ reserves team play the curtain-raiser at 12.30pm.
Cambridge’s championship side are at home to second-placed Claudelands Rovers, kicking off at 2.45pm. The champs are looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games, having taken 13 points from their last five matches.
Waikato Division 3
Cambridge D1s travel to Otorohanga for their fixture at the Otorohanga Domain, kicking off at 12.30pm.
Waikato Division 4
The D2s go to Hamilton’s Hillcrest Park for a 2pm match against Eastern City.
Sunday – Women’s Waikato Division 1
Cambridge play Claudelands Rovers at Galloway Park, kicking off at 1pm. Please note later-than-usual kick off time.
Sunday – WaiBOP Federation Youth/Junior Leagues
No games this weekend due to school holidays.
Please be aware of the development taking place opposite our junior grounds in Vogel St. Contractors are likely to be moving heavy vehicles to and from the site and we ask our visitors to be careful when parking on the street or crossing the road to our club.
Notice to visitors
Please be aware our grounds and clubrooms are 100% smoke-free and council bylaws forbid visitors from bringing dogs to our grounds.
We ask visitors to not park in the carpark spaces marked reserved as these will be used by volunteers needing to work in our clubrooms (including caterers, bar, committee members). Thanks.
