Senior players finish season with 3-3 draw between young and not-so-young

Cambridge FC’s senior players ended their winter season with a lively 3-3 draw between two teams selected on experience.

The Oldies team included a few players into their 50s but match experience served the team well, with cameo roles from Reds head coach Paul Richardson and veteran Lee McNally.

The Youngies had plenty of exuberance and speed to burn.

Spectators at John Kerkhof Park were also treated to surprise appearances in goal from outfielders such as first team defender Jack Portegys (Youngies) and striker Andrew Taylor (Oldies).
