Update: Thieves strike again as club suffers third attack on our facilities

Members and supporters of Cambridge FC have been asked to help keep a watch on the club’s facilities in Vogel St after three recent incidents.

The latest incident, in mid-January, resulted in the theft of a lawnmower, weed stripper and a leaf blower after a break-in at the main clubrooms.

It was the third incident in a month.

In mid-December, would-be burglars attempted to break through the back door of the main clubrooms at John Kerkhof Park.

Though they were unsuccessful, they caused damage to the door and wrecked a security lock.

In early January, thieves broke into a lock-up attached to the junior clubrooms, and stole a gas bottle. They damaged a roller door while trying to gain entry to the building.

All three incidents have been reported to police.

Our club seeks helps from anyone who sees any suspicious activity at our premises and asks they report it to police.

Both buildings have security alarm systems but security will be increased to provide greater protection.
