Cambridge FC are recruiting players for their 2020 Northern League campaign, having set their sights on winning promotion to the competition’s first division.
We’re keen to hear from players who:
- Believe they are good enough to play in the Lotto NRFL and want the chance to prove it.
- Want to become part of an ambitious award-winning club that’s made much progress in recent seasons.
- Are looking to develop as players with the help of a well-organised coaching/management group.
Here’s what you need to know about the Reds …
Our pre-season programme runs from Tuesday January 21 till the first NRFL competition game on Saturday March 28.
Training is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6.30pm-8pm) at the club’s grounds at John Kerkhof Park, Vogel St, Cambridge.
New players can introduce themselves to the coaches at training or can email us your details here.
The Northern League squad will again be led by head coach Paul Richardson, in his third season with the club, with assistant coaches Blair Hoad and Richard Wade, goalkeeping coach Kim Brierley and physio Clarke McKenzie. First team manager this year will be Nicola Brierley.
The NRFL reserves will be coached by Neil Evans, who re-joins Cambridge after a spell at Hamilton Wanderers.
Our club is implementing a comprehensive coaching programme at all levels (from juniors, youth to seniors), overseen by our technical director, former All Whites and Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert.
The Reds go into the 2020 season eager to build on the last two seasons in which they finished 7th (2018) and 5th last year after winning promotion to the league’s second division in 2017.
