Reds’ head coach Paul Richardson says Cambridge’s pre-season preparation is going well despite players having to train in unusually hot evening conditions.
“There’s lots of smiles, despite the heat,” he said after the seventh and latest session with players working towards this year’s Lotto NRFL second division season.
Richardson said the Tuesday and Thursday evening sessions had attracted a number of new faces, many of them young players seeking to show what they can do at Northern League level.
He said players had shown a good attitude towards their work which had so far included input from the Reds’ strength and conditioning coach as well as ball work.
