Registrations almost closed as women’s sevens edge towards record entry

The 10th annual Cambridge Sevens tournament for women looks likely to go ahead with a record number of entries.

Eighteen teams have already registered for the tournament, with more expected, as registrations head towards the 20-team capacity for the tournament.

The women’s competition is set for Sunday March 15, 2020.

Please note: registrations briefly closed on February 25 when we had 20 team entries how two withdrawals have led to us re-opening registrations.

The tournament will consist of four groups and all teams are guaranteed a minimum of three matches on the day.

The draw will be published at this website on Tuesday March 10, 2020.

The Sevens are a fun way to bridge the gap between summer and winter football.

With no offsides, rolling subs and a three-quarter sized pitch, the format is an excellent way to enjoy a day of free-flowing football with plenty of goals.
