Cambridge’s young reserves side continue to find the net with their latest result a 3-2 loss to Auckland club Onehunga Mangere United.
The Reds’ second-string have averaged more than two goals a game in their five outings this season.
Most of the goalscoring action came in the first half of this match on the side of Mangere Mountain.
The home side got off to a flying start when they took the lead in the 3rd minute through an own goal credited to Jack Sickelmore.
Cambridge captain Devon Andrews levelled in the 14th minute but Onehunga’s Sean Newey replied a minute later.
On the stroke of half-time, Andrews scored his second.
The sides turned around at 2-2 but Onehunga Mangere found their winner in the 62nd minute through substitute Max Kwan.
Next weekend, the reserves travel to Auckland again to meet reserves competition leader Fencibles United who kept their 100% winning record with a 3-0 win at Beachlands Maraetai.
