Cambridge goalkeeper Aimee Feinberg-Danieli has made her debut at the highest level of women’s domestic football after playing for WaiBOP in their opening game of the 2020 ISPS Handa Premiership.

The teenage ‘keeper, who joined Cambridge for the 2020 season, played in the 2-2 draw with Central at Massey University’s ground, Palmerston North.

WaiBOP’s goals were scored by Kelli Brown and a former Cambridge player, Grace Wisnewski.

Another former Cambridge player, Manaia Elliott, is also in this year’s squad.

The WaiBOP team plays their next game at Cambridge’s John Kerkhof Park on Sunday November 15 when they host current champions Canterbury United Pride.

The game kicks off at noon.

Meanwhile, while she was heading back from the Manawatu, Feinberg-Danielli was named the Cambridge club’s most improved women’s player at the club’s senior prizegiving awards.
