First team captain Patrick Woodlock has been named Cambridge FC’s Player of the Year for the sixth time, extending a record he already held.
Woodlock took the award at the football club’s annual senior prizegiving at the Cambridge Town Hall.
Woodlock (29) has won the award five years in a row, as well as first receiving the Jim Barry Player’s Player of the Year for the first time in 2008.
Retired striker Tony McIsaac was previously the club’s record-holder for the award, having won the trophy in 1993, 2003, 2005 and 2006.
The club’s Women’s Player of the Year was former Football Fern Andrea Rogers who was a crucial midfield influence in the side that won this year’s Waikato Women’s League.
Astrid Howarth took the women’s Golden Boot for her goalscoring achievements while Peter Buesnel was awarded the Men’s Golden Boot, having scored 30 cup and league goals for the club’s Waikato B team.
The club’s Personality of the Year was Fairlie Morton, who was senior club captain for both the men’s and women’s teams, while the Club Person of the Year was committee member and facilities manager Craig Clark.
The club’s Supporter of the Year (for the second time) was Russell Foster, of RICOH.
