Cambridge’s women’s team showed good form in beating Waikato Unicol 3-1 in a pre-season warm-up match at John Kerkhof Park.
Playing on Wednesday night (March 28), the women were the first team in the club to test the new floodlights on pitch 2 in game conditions.
The lights and the team were successful, and Cambridge’s goals were scored by Abby Cook, Sophee Rapson-Jones and the team’s leading goalscorer for the past two seasons, Astrid Howarth.
