Both of Cambridge’s federation youth teams have started their regional league seasons with 2-2 draws.

In both games, Cambridge’s U-13 and U-12 boys teams had half-time leads but their visitors came back to share the points.

The U-12s took a first-half lead through George Anthony after 25 minutes to go into half-time with a 1-0 lead against Hamilton Wanderers at John Kerkhof Park.

Blake Taylor (55 mins) scored another for Cambridge but Wanderers fought back for a 2-2 final score.

The Cambridge U-13s got a flying start in their home match against Rotorua United, with Blake Allison (14 mins) and Ty Christensen (16 mins) finding the net.

Rotorua scored once in each half to return home with a point from the 2-2 draw.
