Junior grade co-ordinator collects our Volunteer of the Week award

With more than 450 boys and girls playing junior football for our club, it takes a heap of effort to co-ordinate players, teams and coaches.

We’ve got an excellent group of grade co-ordinators who make that happen.

One is Stu Anthony, the club’s 11th-grade co-ordinator who looks after five teams – the Clarets, Legends, Barcelona, Rebels and Daredevils.

Last weekend, the Clarets had a taste of international football when they drew 4-4 against touring Tahitian club side AS Venus.

Stu is the sixth winner of our Onyx Cambridge-sponsored Volunteer of the Week award.

He receives a $50 voucher from our partner Onyx Cambridge.

Cambridge’s favourite eatery will help celebrate our deserving volunteers with a weekly prize of a $50 voucher to spend at Onyx Cambridge in Alpha St.

The award is a terrific way for us to celebrate those who keep our club running all year and to show them what Onyx Cambridge offers its customers.

In all, 20 volunteers will benefit during the season and we’re now seeking nominations for worthy recipients.

How to nominate

Please email media@cambridgefootball.co.nz and tell us who you think deserves to receive one of our weekly awards, and the reasons why.

Of our 800+ members, parents/guardians and supporters, more than 100 contribute unpaid work to keep our club running.

If you want to join our volunteers, please email media@cambridgefootball.co.nz and let us know how you can help.

* The first five recipients of the Volunteer of the Week award were Jude Bower, Mike Woodlock, Craig Clark, Louis Roberts and Vanessa Payne.
