Cambridge head coach Paul Richardson is still waiting for his first win since taking over the Reds in mid-season, despite losing only once in his six games in charge.
Five of those games have ended in draws, including Cambridge’s latest fixture in the Lotto NRFL second division, a 1-1 stalemate at Papakura City.
(The only loss was a 3-2 defeat to runaway league leaders Takapuna AFC).
After the Papakura match, Richardson said he believed his team was making progress and had become difficult to beat.
However, the side needed to convert some tight games into wins, he says.
