Junior club captain recognised for volunteer work

Congratulations to Cambridge FC’s junior club captain Tim Bailey who has been recognised for his work as a volunteer by WaiBOP Football.

He’s been named as one of 10 football volunteers across the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region to receive a $50 MTA fuel voucher as recognition for his work.

Bailey was nominated for the award as part of New Zealand’s NationalĀ Volunteer Week held in June.

The 10 football volunteers to be recognised were: Neil Carrington (Otonga Primary School), Olly Webb (Otumoetai FC), Tim Bailey (Cambridge FC), Andrea Rasmusen (Whenuakite School), Andrew Hansford (Morrinsville JFC), Bob Turlington (Paeroa Rangers), Brent Armitage (Blue Rovers FC), Dave McGall (Hamilton Wanderers), Emma Bignell (Tauranga City AFC), Toni Schwartfeger (Te Puke United).

 

Tim Bailey is one of more than 100 volunteers at Cambridge FC who together contribute more than 30,000 hours a year of unpaid work.
