Cambridge remain in 9th position on the Northern League’s second division table after this weekend’s reduced round of matches.
Only two games were played in the Lotto NRFL second tier and neither result changed Cambridge’s position on the table.
A win by Te Atatu would have intensified the pressure on Cambridge, one of many clubs trying to clear the relegation zone. However a goal by former Cambridge player Gareth Clark helped his current team, Albany United, beat the West Aucklanders.
Albany are Cambridge’s next opponents, visiting John Kerkhof Park next Saturday (July 21).
