Cambridge’s women’s team shared the honours with local rivals Matamata Swifts in a 0-0 draw at a wet John Kerkhof Park.
Compared to the sides’ Waikato Cup tie earlier in the season – won 5-0 by Cambridge – this Waikato Women’s A league fixture produced few goalscoring opportunities and neither goalkeeper was particularly tested.
The conditions played a part with persistent rain producing a slippery surface.
Coach Andrew Taylor named midfielder Chrissy Goodin as the Hill Homes Player of the Day.
Meanwhile, Cambridge are only one game away from reaching their fourth Waikato Women’s Cup final in six years.
