Golden Boot gets tighter as leading scorers get among the goals

posted in: Men, News, Women

The race for Cambridge FC’s Golden Boot awards has got tighter for our men and women goalscorers.

Weekend results see two players tied in pole position for the men’s boot while two women are also on level pegging.

Last weekend, Peter Buesnel got on the scoresheet for the Championship team while Andrew Taylor was sidelined due to the reserves winning by default against Albany United.

For the women, Rachel Hill scored her 19th goal of the season against Hamilton Wanderers but Astrid Howarth bagged a brace of goals to draw level.
