Four Cambridge players shortlisted for WaiBOP awards

Four Cambridge players have been shortlisted for this year’s WaiBOP Football Player of the Year awards.

They are:

Jen Hull – Waikato Women’s A League

Willem Dikmans – Loaded WaiBOP Championship

Nathan Murray – U-13 Boys’ Federation League

George Anthony – U-12 Boys Junior League

The winners are decided by public vote which closes at 5pm on Friday September 14.

Goalkeeper Jen Hull (pictured) – known to her team mates as Stoney – has announced her retirement from the game after making more than 120 appearances for Cambridge over seven seasons, the last two as team captain.

Three Cambridge players featured in the 2017 WaiBOP awards with Reds skipper Patrick Woodlock named as the Player of the Year in the Loaded WaiBOP Premiership and Levi Clark named Player of the Year in the Loaded WaiBOP Championship.

Striker Donovan Latham took the Premiership’s Golden Boot award.
