A well-attended Annual General Meeting has seen Cambridge FC appoint its committee for the year ahead.

Peter Martens was re-elected unopposed as the club’s president for his 31st year in the role and received a standing ovation from the members.

Josh Easby was elected club secretary and Paul Blackstock returns as club treasurer.

Tim Bailey was re-elected as the club’s junior captain while the role of senior club captain has yet to be filled.

After a ballot, the club elected the following to the committee: Harry Bomans, Thomas Campbell, Craig Clark, Richard Crafts, Chrissy Goodin, Matt Malligan, Mike Steele, Steve Thomas.

Campbell, Malligan and Steele are newcomers to the committee and were part of the junior operations team last season.

The incoming committee meets on December 3 and their first meeting will decide allocation of roles/responsibilities for the year ahead, including appointment of the club’s chair.
