Cambridge FC’s Tim Bailey is a contender for an award recognising the best sports administrators in the Waikato.

Having been named Waipa’s Sports Administrator of the Year for 2018, Bailey has now been nominated for a regional award in the same category.

The regional award winner will be announced at a sports dinner to be hosted by Sport Waikato at the Claudelands Events Centre, Hamilton, on Friday February 1, 2019.

Bailey was elected Cambridge FC’s junior captain in late 2017 and has led a group of volunteers who oversee the club’s football operations for about 460 boys and girls.

He’s played a key part on the club’s executive committtee, helping to find different ways to make best use of volunteers.

Tickets are available to attend the February 1 dinner at $100 per person. Ticket includes three-course meal and entertainment including high profile sports speakers with MC Nigel Yalden.

How to attend the awards dinner

If you wish to attend and be seated on a Cambridge FC table, please email Cambridge Football Club.

A past winner of the Waipa and Waikato awards was former Cambridge FC chairman Greg Zeuren in 2014 while past junior captain Catherine Clark was nominated in 2017 for the Waipa award.
