Big turnout for first session of pre-season training for Northern League squad

Pre-season training for Cambridge FC’s Lotto NRFL squad got off to a good start with large numbers gathering for a first session at John Kerkhof Park.

Head coach Paul Richardson and his 2019 coaching/management team welcomed returning players and new faces as the players took part in a workout on Tuesday evening (January 22).

The session involved players keen to play for the Reds in this year’s Northern League campaign, either for the Cambridge first team or the strong reserves squad, coached by Mike Taylor again.

From now until the start of the season, players will training at John Kerkhof Park on Tuesday and Thursdays (from 6.30pm), and new players are welcome.

New players are invited to contact coach Richardson by email.

Fitness work will be led by the club’s strength and conditioning coach, Marcelo Sosa, while player’s physical well-being will be supported by Vigour Physiotherapy.
