Reds get their first run-out of the pre-season campaign

posted in: Men, Northern League

Cambridge FC’s men’s first and second teams get their first outings this weekend with a double header of friendlies at West Hamilton United.

The reserves kick off at 12.30pm and the firsts follow with a 2.45pm kick off.

It’s an excellent chance for the Reds to test themselves against West Ham who play in the Loaded WaiBOP Premiership.

The Reds have five pre-season fixtures lined up – click here to see the list.

Cambridge aim to build on last season’s 7th position in the Lotto NRFL division two, having returned to the Northern League after a six-year absence in 2018.

The pre-season squad is much the same as last year while assistant coaches Richard Wade and Blair Hoad have joined the coaching/management staff from Melville United.

Pre-season squad: Patrick Steel, Daniel Clarkin, Patrick Woodlock, Kieran Hill, Marcelo Sosa, Bradley Rea, Josh Clarkin, Dylan Blair, Callum McLeod, Jack Portegys, Nathan Claridge, Fraser Nicholls, Riley Higgs, Aaron Heusser, Mason Woodall, Johnny Sanchez.
