In-form Cambridge travel south to meet old rivals Ngongotaha in their Lotto NRFL second division match on ANZAC Day.
The Reds head to Stembridge Road with an unbeaten start to the Northern League season while Ngongotaha prop up the table, winless after four rounds.
However, Cambridge head coach Paul Richardson won’t be complacent after his team’s nail-biting results so far this season. The Reds have won three games all by a single goal and drawn the other.
And Ngongotaha have shown they can lift themselves when it counts, finishing mid-table in last year’s second division.
Cambridge had a 5-2 win in the corresponding fixture last season, a game that marked the Reds return to the Northern League after a six-year absence.
In their last match, on Good Friday, Cambridge snatched an unlikely win with two goals scored in added time to defeat Greenhithe Catimba 3-2 at John Kerkhof Park.
Thursday’s match kicks off at 3pm while the reserves meet in the curtain-raiser at 12.30pm.
