Cambridge head coach Paul Richardson was relieved after his side’s 2-1 win at Ngongotaha, giving the Reds three points and the lead of the Lotto NRFL second division.
“It’s a hard place to come to,” he said, acknowledging the fighting effort put up by a Ngongotaha side who competed till the end.
Richardson said he was happy with 13 points from a possible 15 so far, with the Reds unbeaten after five rounds of play, but there was still work to do.
