What’s in store for our senior and youth teams this weekend

Cambridge starts its 2019 ISPS Handa Chatham Cup campaign this weekend while all but one of our senior and youth teams are playing away from home.

Here’s where our senior and youth teams are playing this weekend:

Chatham Cup

The Reds take a break from the Lotto NRFL (where they sit third in division two) to travel to Papakura City for a first round ISPS Handa Chatham Cup tie.

Our club has never gone further than the third round – could this be the year for the Reds to make history?

The game kicks off at 2.00pm (earlier than usual, in case the game needs extra time/penalties).

WaiBOP Championship

Cambridge’s championship side travels to Tauranga City on Saturday for a 12.30pm start.

Cambridge picked up their third win of their campaign last week, beating Tauranga Blue Rovers 7-2.

Waikato Division 3

On Saturday, Cambridge D1s travel to Matamata Swifts to take on their third-string team at 1pm.

Waikato Division 4

The D2s are the only Cambridge team at home this weekend, hosting Waikato Unicol Black at 12.30pm.

Sunday – Women’s Waikato Division 1

Our women’s team meet West Hamilton United for the first time since last season’s Waikato Cup Final, won by the Hamilton side. Cambridge travel to United’s Weka Street ground for the Sunday match. Kick off is 11am.

Sunday – WaiBOP Federation Youth/Junior Leagues

Both Cambridge’s youth/junior teams are away on Sunday.

The U-12 J-League side meets Blue Rovers at Pemberton Park,Tauranga, at 10.30am.

The U-13 Y-League team goes to play Melvile United’s U-14 girls at 11am.

Please be aware of the development taking place opposite our junior grounds in Vogel St. Contractors are likely to be moving heavy vehicles to and from the site and we ask our visitors to be careful when parking on the street or crossing the road to our club.

Please be aware our grounds and clubrooms are 100% smoke-free and council bylaws forbid visitors from bringing dogs to our grounds.

We ask visitors to not park in the carpark spaces marked reserved as these will be used by volunteers needing to work in our clubrooms (including caterers, bar, committee members). Thanks.
