A big Chatham Cup win led the club’s senior and youth achievements this weekend.

Here’s how our senior and youth teams fared:

Chatham Cup

The Reds turned round a half-time deficit to storm home against Papakura City in the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup, winning 6-2.

The reserves did not have a fixture this weekend.

WaiBOP Championship

Cambridge’s championship side continue to show inconsistent form, losing 4-1 at Tauranga City.

The Tauranga side romped to a 4-0 lead in the first half but the Cambridge side clawed back a goal – an own goal – to restore some pride in the second spell.

Waikato Division 3

Cambridge D1s lost 4-0 at Matamata Swifts’ third-string team.

Down by three goals at half-time, Cambridge put together a better second half performance.

Next weekend, the side goes into the first round of the Waikato Plate.

Waikato Division 4

The D2s were the only Cambridge team at home this weekend, and they beat Waikato Unicol Black 2-0.

Goalscorers were Kieran Barnes and the in-form Chris Hill.

Sunday – Women’s Waikato Division 1

Our women’s team lost 10-2 at West Hamilton United in a replay of last season’s Waikato Cup Final.
