How Pub Charity helps us line up our pitches for action

It’s easy to take them for granted … but how would we manage to play football if we didn’t have the white lines on our pitches?

Marking Cambridge FC’s 17 junior and 6 senior pitches/training areas is a time-consuming and costly job.

Our club spends about $8,000 a year on white paint (for winter pitches) and black paint (for summer’s 5-a-side pitches), and to keep our two linemarking machines in working order.

So we’re especially grateful for the support of Pub Charity, the charitable trust that has contributed $5,200 towards our linemarking costs this year.

The grant has ensured our club linemarker, Graham Clark, and our facilities manager, Craig Clark (photo), can continue to keep our pitches looking sharp!
