What’s in store for our senior and youth teams this weekend

Of Cambridge FC’s eight senior and youth teams, only one plays at home this weekend because John Kerkhof Park is hosting the Waikato Cup and Plate finals (men and women).

Here’s who and where our senior and youth teams are playing this weekend:

Lotto NRFL second division

The Reds travel to South Auckland for their penultimate fixtures of the 2019 Northern League season when they meet Manurewa AFC at War Memorial Park, Manurewa.

Provisional first team squad: 1 Fraser Nicholls (GK), 2 Levi Clark, 3 Nathan Claridge (c), 4 Patrick Woodlock, 6 Sam Garmonsway, 8 Daniel Clarkin, 9 Zach Mayo, 10 Dylan Blair, 12 Marcelo Sosa, 13 Fabian Munoz, 14 Luke Stephenson, 15 Josh Clarkin, 17 Aaron Huesser, 18 Harry Wick, 20 Kieran Vollebregt, 22 Patrick Steele (GK).

The main game is at 3pm while the clubs’ reserves team play the curtain-raiser at 12.30pm.

WaiBOP Championship

Cambridge have three games to go in the championship, the next two on the road. This Saturday’s fixture is against Tokoroa at Strathmore Park, kicking off at 2.45pm.

Waikato Division 3

Cambridge D1s play Claudelands Rovers Pingers at Galloway Park, starting at 12.30pm.

Waikato Division 4

The D2s play Northern United’s Numpties at Discovery Park, with a 12.30pm kick off.

Sunday – Women’s Waikato Division 1

Cambridge’s fixture against Otorohanga has been postponed until September 8 because Otorohanga are playing in Sunday’s Waikato Plate final at John Kerkhof Park (11am).

Sunday – WaiBOP Federation Youth/Junior Leagues

The Cambridge U-12s travel to Melville United’s Gower Park for their fixture in the WaiBOP Federation J-League, kicking off at 10am.

The U-13s host Rotorua United at John Kerkhof Park for their game in the WaiBOP Federation Y-League, starting 11am.


Please be aware of the development taking place opposite our junior grounds in Vogel St. Contractors are likely to be moving heavy vehicles to and from the site and we ask our visitors to be careful when parking on the street or crossing the road to our club.


Notice to visitors

Please be aware our grounds and clubrooms are 100% smoke-free and council bylaws forbid visitors from bringing dogs to our grounds.

We ask visitors to not park in the carpark spaces marked reserved as these will be used by volunteers needing to work in our clubrooms (including caterers, bar, committee members). Thanks.
