More coaching and team management roles have been confirmed as Cambridge FC prepares for the 2020 winter season.

Lotto NRFL reserves

Neil Evans returns to the club to take up the role as coach of the Reds reserves team.

He joins from Hamilton Wanderers, where he has coached at reserves level, and he has previously coached first-team football at West Hamilton United.

Evans has successfully coached youth teams for Northern United and Wanderers.

A former general manager of WaiBOP Football, Evans brings a wealth of footballing experience and previously coached the Cambridge reserves when they competed in the WaiBOP Championship (prior to the Reds winning promotion to the Northern League).

Women’s team

Steve Barrott will be the assistant coach for the Cambridge women’s team, joining newly-appointed coach Jamie McKean in the dugout.

Barrott has a long commitment to the club as a player (for the men’s Division 3 side last season) and as a sponsor through his company Waikato Plumbing & Gas.

Chloe Barrott, who is married to Steve Barrott, will be the team manager for 2020, replacing Juhli Burnett.

Players wishing to be part of the Cambridge women’s team in 2020 are invited to get in touch.
