Pub Charity helps club replace its goal nets with grant

Our club has been able to replace more than 30 sets of goal nets thanks to a generous grant from the charitable trust, Pub Charity.

The grant, for $5,800, has enabled our club to replace 28 sets of two-metre wide nets for junior football and three sets for use on full-sized goals for senior games. It also paid 11 new match balls.

The support of Pub Charity helps the club find the $200,000 annual running costs required to provide facilities, equipment and kit for more than 700 men, women and children who play winter football.

The nets also make possible the club’s annual Cambridge Summer League in which more than 350 men, women and young adults participate in 5-a-side football.

Last year, Pub Charity contributed $5,200 towards the cost of linemarking 17 junior and five senior pitches.

Cambridge FC is grateful for the continuation of support from Pub Charity.
