What’s in store for spectators this weekend

Providing the Waikato remains at Alert Level 2, Cambridge junior, youth and senior teams will be in action this weekend.

Level 2 guidelines restrict gatherings to a maximum of 100, meaning each game should be watched by no more than 100 on the sidelines (a gathering does not include players, officials and coaching group).

Spectators should not mingle with those attending games at adjacent pitches, under the guidelines, and spectators should maintain physical distancing of at least two metres.

Cambridge travel to Tauranga City for a 12.30pm match in the WaiBOP Championship.

Third-placed Cambridge are chasing the competition’s current leaders Hamilton Wanderers and St Paul’s Corinthians.

In Waikato Division 5, Cambridge D1s play Te Awamutu at Anchor Park (2.45pm).

The D2s are at home to bottom-placed Claudelands Rovers Newbies and are chasing back-to-back wins after their upset 3-1 win at leaders Tokoroa last weekend. The match starts at 12.30pm.

The junior draw was revised to help the club manage games within the NZ Football guidelines for alert level 2.

The club has taken extra precautions by postponing First Kicks and games for children up to grade 7.
