Howarth takes women’s Golden Boot award; men’s boot still to be decided

posted in: Awards, Men, News, Uncategorized, Women

Astrid Howarth has clinched the women’s Golden Boot award with 14 goals for the season.

Howarth (pictured) has also turned provider this year, setting up goals for team mates such as Marie O’Neill (who scored eight goals).

Meanwhile, it appears Peter Buesnel’s 13 goals for Cambridge’s Waikato Division Two side will be enough for him to again win the men’s Golden Boot.

However, it’s still possible for Adam Brady (9) or Aaron Huesser (7) to push him close if they can plunder goals in their remaining fixture in the WaiBOP Championship where Cambridge are hotly favoured to beat lowly Tauranga Old Blues.

All other teams have completed their seasons.
