Pre-season plans in place for senior women players

posted in: Events, News, Women

More plans have been unveiled for our senior women players ahead of the 2021 winter season.

Key updates include:

  • A muster for returning and new players
  • Completion of the coaching/team management group
  • Entry to the 2021 Cambridge Sevens tournament
  • Potential to enter more than one team in this year’s Waikato League

Muster

Women keen to play winter football for Cambridge FC are invited to attend the club’s senior men’s and women’s muster on Wednesday February 10.

The muster at John Kerkhof Park, from 6.30pm till 8pm, will enable returning and new players to learn plans for the 2021 season in which the club will play in the Waikato Women’s League competitions.

Last season, Cambridge were runners-up in Division 2, indicating the team was capable of playing up a grade.

It’s possible the club might be able to field teams in both divisions this season, depending on player numbers.
