A chance to develop U-23 players for the Reds’ Northern League squad

posted in: Men, News, Northern League

Applications are invited for the role of Cambridge FC reserves team coach for the 2021 season.

The position provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious coach who wants to work with young players striving to succeed in the Northern League environment.

This year’s reserves league will be primarily an Under-23 competition, with the number of overage players expected to be restricted to five per match.

The reserves team plays in the Lotto NRFL reserves division and is primarily a development squad to support the first team and to prepare players for future inclusion in our top side.

The successful applicant will be supported by the club’s head coach, who is responsible for coaching the first team.

The club will actively support the reserves coach’s efforts to develop and attain suitable coaching qualifications.

Our club’s Technical Director, Ricki Herbert, will assess applications and make recommendations to the incoming executive committee on coaching appointments for 2021.

Through Ricki Herbert, the club has put in place a top-to-bottom coaching support structure.
