As Cambridge FC prepares for another season of winter football, it’s time to book a night out with fellow members and supporters of our club.
Called The Footballer and the Winemaker, our club is hosting a special wine and food event at The Stables, Cambridge, where guests will enjoy:
- A four-course dinner
- Four glasses of specially selected wines from Lamont Winery from Central Otago
- Spirits from the artisan Cardrona Distillery at a special price of $10 per drink
- Entertaining talk from our guests, All White legend Ricki Herbert (The Footballer) and viticulturist Craig Gasson (The Winemaker)
A limited number of tickets are available now for the dinner on Friday March 19, 2021.
The evening starts at 6pm before guests will be served a sumptuous dinner (see menu below). Each course is accompanied with an appropriate Lamont wine.
Club members, supporters and their friends are invited to book their tickets now.
Tickets cost $130 per person, covering the cost of food and four glasses of wine.

Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. After reserving your ticket, please pay $130 per person into the club’s bank account listing your surname as reference and STABLES as code.

The menu
Canapes
Beetroot & dill cured salmon with crème fraiche.
Smoke-salted rare beef with horseradish mayo.
Mini red pepper & brie muffins.
Canapes accompanied with Riesling.
Main 2
Bruschetta – vine tomatoes and shallots, served on toasted local breads with whipped feta and Italian glaze, accompanied with Pinot Gris.
Main 3
Chargrilled chicken breast with maple-glazed carrots & finished with a rosemary & port cream sauce accompanied with Chardonnay.
Main 4
Sticky confit duck in an orange, honey & saffron marinade, served on bok choy & edamame beans, topped with a crispy spring roll and accompanied with Pinot Noir.
