Girls’ football at Cambridge FC looks to be in great heart as more than 50 players attended the club’s player assessment day at John Kerkhof Park.

Sessions were run to help on Sunday March 7 to help assess players and ensure they are placed in teams at the most appropriate level.

Twenty girls took part in the U-10 sessions while more than 30 participated in the U-13 assessments.

Jamie McKean, who coaches the club’s women’s first team, helped run the sessions and was delighted with the support for girls football at the club.
