Cambridge FC will end an eight-month drought of Northern League games when the club hosts Auckland club Greenhithe Catimba in a double header on Good Friday.
The Reds last played a home fixture in the Lotto NRFL second division on August 1 last year before the competition was called off due to COVID-19 restrictions.
But the wait for top football to return to John Kerkhof Park ends on Friday when the U-23s reserves play at 12.30pm, followed by the main game at 3pm.
Cambridge and Greenhithe both lost their opening games in the Northern League last weekend.
The Reds were edged out 1-0 at Oratia United while Greenhithe succumbed 2-1 to Papatoetoe.
On Easter Monday, the Reds travel to Hibiscus Coast for their third round match.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Cambridge will host Otumoetai in the WaiBOP Championship (kick off 2.45pm).
