High-flying Northland overcome Reds U-23s in reserves fixture

Cambridge’s U-23 team lost their match to high-flying Northland 3-0 after trailing by two goals at half-time.

The Reds were tested against the team with the best defence in the Lotto NRFL second division reserves competition but will learn from the experience.

Cambridge have played the top two teams in the division in consecutive games.

The Reds U-23s’ next game is at fourth-placed Uni-Mount Bohemian Celtic next Saturday (May 8) when the sides kick off at 12.30pm.
