A special event and another first for Cambridge Football Club!

We had to keep it under wraps but yes, we can confirm the well-known football YouTuber, ChrisMD, filmed at our club today.

Concern about the weather lifted as the clouds parted and a rainbow appeared - surely a good omen!

The production crew were impressed with the pitch, and after a quick shirt presentation from Ricki Herbert, our Director of Football, Chris (in his Cambridge FC shirt) and his team got to work. 

Scoring a 'worldy' free kick was the challenge. Wade's and Ollie's efforts between the sticks, along with a stiff head wind made life very difficult. The ball boys were kept very busy. Finally a few goals were scored but not the required standard - with comments of "We haven't come all this way for that effort to count!" The decision to change ends to use the elements to their advantage soon paid off with a few belters going 'top bins'.

The scenes wouldn't have been complete without Rocky, the club mascot, flying in to be part of the action - Chris noted he wasn't the only celebrity in town!

Such a great day for our club to be part of something so unique, with Chris and his team heading off with some great footage and a job well done.
